Week 3

Straight Shots [1-1] vs Brit Pool [0-2]
Straight Shots were simply shut out by MP this past week, and it wasn't because their stars weren't there. Whether it was a bad day, people overrate them, or MP are just good, SS need to move on, and fast. Looking at the standings, this would be a good bounce back week, but Brit Pool is a lot more then 0-2. BP have had an unlucky run to say the least. If a few bounces went left instead of right, they very well may be 2-0. They have the talent to compete for the championship, and the players know the season is long so a little hole wont keep them from trying, especially when they know the kind of holes they can dig themselves out of [BP last season in UIC].

Prediction - 3-2 BP

Money In the Bank [0-2] vs Magic Pool [2-0]
MIB lost a doozey to the new comers in the 5th game, but can clearly take a number of positives away from it as they were able to hang with a great squad all match long. The problem is, Rich & company have the talent to hang with most leagues, but they don't have that game changer that can push them over the edge. At the same time, you cant really say MP has one either, but they have quite a bit of talent so who cares.

Prediction - 4-1 MP

Extreme Pool Competitors [2-0] vs Sexy Poolerz [1-1]
EPC kept up their great start with a big win over UO this past week and if they can keep it going against their opponents this week, then Jack, you sir, are for real. EPC were able to showcase some more talent as they introduced Mina & Tim to their already stacked line-up. The problem? SP don't care. Pete & Ketan come to play, and destroy. They have a small but solid line up through out interleagues, and I do believe Pete will get his top 5 just because it is Jack.

Prediction - 3-2 SP

Freedom [1-1] vs Ultimate Outlaws [1-1]
Whether they have a captain or not on a page, is ludicrous to how they play. The heart & soul of the league has yet to play, and it may be so these other "predictors" keep assuming. After a tough loss to EPC in the first week, this captain-less side came back in a big way and crushed BP 4-1, and look to start a streak. With players like Adam, Corey & Koty to name 3, Pete's got a ton of talent to chose from. UO have a great roster as well which keeps Rebs happy. What may not keep her happy is the fact her squad lost a close one to EPC this past week, and just a week ago Freedom demolished her squad 5-1 in IPA. With the same kinda squad for both these sides, I don't think it'll stay that close.

Prediction - 4-1 Freedom

Best of luck and enjoy!

Week 2

No wild card prediction, don't think it's a good idea.. Hope you enjoy anyways & best of luck to everyone this week!

Brit Pool [0-1] vs Freedom [0-1]

BP weren't able to live up the hype, or MP just stepped it up a notch as BP fell 3-2 in their first week. BP as whole has been haven't been doing to well lately in interleagues which is quite unexpected with all the talent they have, just like Freedom. Petey leads a quite talented side, that seems to be on the wrong side of the coin flip lately. He has his top 2 from IPA so far, so their first week loss to EPC should be forgotten about soon as I believe Pete will want to avoid another oh-fer start [like UIC (0-3)] & bring his top 5 and make his buddy [Drew] cry.

Prediction - 3-2 Freedom

Ultimate Outlaws [1-0] vs Extreme Pool Competitors [1-0]
UO show cased their talent this past week as they defeated a strong MIB side 3-2, but will need everyone to step it up for this week. UO have tons of talent, like their opponents, but just like their opponents, its their mouths that are giving them trouble in interleagues, so far, both sides have been angelic in GIT! Will Jack be able to keep it up? No doubt in my mind, he's got the talent to keep winning, and a winning Jack is a happy Jack, so happy he'll be changing his shorts every few moments.

Prediction - 3-2 EPC

Sexy Poolerz vs Money in the Bank [0-1]
Welcome to GIT SP! For those who don't know, Sexy Poolerz is a great, active, friendly league but their interleague team is easy to remember. Not too many, but great shooters, and they excel in cam leagues, so GIT should do nothing more then ignite Ketans fire! For MIB, they had a rough first week losing a close one to UO, and they may very well get their registered wiped clean here as Ketan & company would love to start this season off in a big way, hopefully someone reads the rules about wild cards before Pete embarrasses himself!

Prediction - 4-1 Sexy Poolerz

Magic Pool [1-0] vs Straight Shots [1-0]
MP had a strong first week as they topped BP 3-2, motivated mainly by everyone not choosing MP to win. Nice work guys! You'll love this one then. MP lead a small, quite, but sound group with talent up & down their roster, and most importantly, they're very reliable to show. Chris as a captain, is, smart. He does his research, and is quite articulate, quite like his opponent this week. Nigel has been a great captain since what seems like forever, and while people have their views on him, you cant argue his resume. He leads another great squad [judging by the credits] into this Sunday interleague and as long as he can get them to show more often then not, SS will fair quite well.

Prediction - 3-2 MP

Week 1

With these predictions, I'll also be noting at the end of the predictions if the "Banking Wild Card" should be played, and who is best to suit it. I will not be dealing with the Last Pocket card simply because half the players are capable of making LP easy for themselves.

Magic Pool vs Brit Pool

The thing with the MP squad, is so many of their players are overrated, but at the same time, the rest are underrated. Either way, MP have plenty of good shooters that can nip ya if you're not paying attention. One who has been paying attention, is the HA of BP. When asked if he believes his league is over-hyped, "yes" wasted no time appearing in the conversation. Should he worry? To a degree since as it is we place BP on a pedestal high above our wildest imaginations, but that doesn't mean they can't get there.

Wildcard - Best banker? Drill__. Who to stay away from? UIC10 ED-MVP Jeremy.

Prediction - 3-2 BP

Straight Shots vs Extreme Cues
The reason I was the lone predictor to have SS missing out on the playoffs was confirmed by someone special just today, but does that mean SS aren't capable of making the playoffs? Of course not! Nigel will bring a solid 5 week in & week out, but with the amount of compact talent in the league, will it be enough? Some people could say have had enough of Ben and his league hopping antics, but for the time being he's with EC and Paul couldn't be happier. With Ben comes leadership, dedication, and some good shooters [until he leaves]. EC would've been able to bring the heat without him, but with him? Better getchya popcorn ready!

Wildcard - Best banker? nullified. Who to stay away from? The not-so sleepy Paul.

Prediction - 4-1 EC

Money In the Bank vs Ultimate Outlaws
So, no one knows anything about either of these leagues apparently, history lesson? MIB was created by Rich and was a bit of a spin-off league from TC. He has picked up steam within the league and has been able to compete with the big dogs in WPC, IPA & UIC. His players aren't well known, but underestimating them is just, well, dumb. Ultimate Outlaws, were a quiet league. Led by Rebs, UO slowly creeped into the interleague scene, gaining plenty of experience along the way and finally this season breaking through with some solid scores in most notably IPA & WPC. Lately though, the once very-sporty side has turned around have slowly been gaining a poor reputation. A shame because they had picked up Jordy, but who knows now..

Wildcard - Best banker? Monte. Who to stay away from? CRAZYREDNECK/SKULL_FUCKER

Prediction - 3-2 Money in the Bank

Extreme Pool Competitors vs Freedom
3 mixed reviews from the other predictions about EPC. "They have no one", "He should have his IPA team" & "He's got some good shooters coming in". Well, his IPA team is pretty good as evident by their undefeated record, but he does have some good shooters in, and some "sicc" players coming in. Jack will always be there no doubt, along with his "mvp", but what about the rest of his team? Consistency is always the key for Jacks squad, not playing well, but getting his top guys to show more often then not. He's a damn hard competitor and he's been cleaning up his act and it's done well for him, so I don't see him changing any time soon. Apparently Freedom needs to change their captain because it seems their hopeless at the moment. With no captain or co-captain listed, it has some saying they may withdraw week 1. Did Momma ever tell you not to judge a book by a cover? Like Jack, Pete's a competitive guy and will push as hard as he can to get a full, skilled roster.

Wildcard - Best banker? That sicc mvp. Who to stay away from? MLP's bank comp winner Petey

Prediction - 3-2 Freedom

There's the first week, hope you enjoy them! Best of luck to everyone this week & season!

Welcome to Season 1!

Welcome to Global Interleague Trophy everyone! I've decided 2 blogs a week weren't enough, so without Chris' current knowledge of me wanting to do this, here I am! GIT promises to be a great interleague, while bringing many new characteristics to keep it very interesting. Chris has assembled a top-notch admin team with Joe [RiffRaff] in the background helping every step of the day, and presenting us with a great page, and a jaw-dropping banner! The admins in Pete [Freedom], Drew [Brit Pool], Jane [Magic Pool], Jeremy [Brit Pool, most known for Lucky Shots] & Paul [Extreme Cues], all have plenty of talent and experience and it has already shown. Chris & Joe wanted this Sunday interleague to differ from the rest, and it will. Rules that we can actually enjoy reading because they are sensible have been in place for a while and I encourage everyone to read them [It wont take all day like other interleagues, I've read them twice already!]. The largest aspect GIT is offering is one that is a big "hit or miss" with everyone. The illusive "Wild Card", where the home team can pick a game to be Last Pocket or Bank the 8/Q [Each 5v5 match has 1 LP & 1 Bt8/Q card that only the captain can use. You dont have to use them, or you can use both in the same game. Either way, atleast 3 games will be regular 8]. Great idea to shake things up and obviously being all cam will help that out. GIT has started off small, and I like why. With 8 leagues in, competition will be plenty with full rosters week in & week out, and I do foresee many "upsets" because with the leagues in and their resumes from past interleagues, show how capable they are of beating anyone, on any given day, making pre-season rankings, a crap shoot!

So here are my pre-season predictions, that are just pointless and for viewing pleasure. Pred's will be up in a few days!

#1 - Brit Pool
The only player both Tyler & Ben mentioned from BP, is Drew. While yes Drew is a top notch player when he wants to be, Drew doesn't need to be much, because of the core he has created through the years, and now with the 8bc merge, he has picked up a ton of depth. Trey & Justin will have fun, because they can.

#2 - Freedom
I hyped them in WPC, currently in ninth. Hyped them in IPA, still undefeated. Hyped them in UIC, without a win. Lets hype them again shall we? Pete already has Corey signed up for him and he'll definitely be one to look out for as the season 1 MVP and Pete I'm sure has a few more coming over from his IPA squad, so as long as they hit a consistent key early, Freedom will be one of the favourites for the title.

#3 - Extreme Pool Competitors
While everyone else has a massive bias view towards Jack, I'd like to hope I know the real Jack. A real down to earth guy, who has common sense but sadly a lack of patience, which has given everyone their views about Jack. With the way GIT is set up, I do truly believe all of you will see a different Jack, but the same EPC we see in IPA. Strong, deep line-up that will be capable of 5-0ing anyone, the only problem I see is consistency, and Jack is known for his off weeks. He'll be able to coast to the playoffs I believe, but from there its all on him.

#4 - Extreme Cues
Back into the interleague scene, Ben & Paul lead a revamped EC league with a lot of good talent coming in recently. EC will be one of the deepest teams along with BP, and it'll serve them very well in the long run.

#5 - Magic Pool
A league that slowly drifted away from the interleague scene but has been revamped with the return of Jane & Chris' leadership. The newer MP squad have faired well in interleagues thus far, being able to compete having most matches come down to a coin flip. They have a fair amount of talent, they just need to be able to stick with the better players more often then not to prove me wrong.

#6 - Money In the Bank
Rich branched off from TC during the summer and started a small, quiet league with a group of friends, and slowly it has turned into a quiet interleague force. While they're not exactly in the running for titles, no league really wants to play them because MIB has so much talent ready to break through, they will never be an easy opponent.

#7 - Straight Shots
I predicted them to make a mockery of UIC so no one can complain with this. Nigel is back at the helm after having others step up to be captain for a few teams recently, and will be mighty shocked with this prediction. SS have good players, but the only worry I have with them is whether or not those good players will show on a consistent basis.

#8 - Ultimate Outlaws
The same team I predicted to make the UIC playoffs, as well as challenge for a spot in IPA, sees themselves in last. Why? GIT will be that close. With all the controversy UO has quickly brought to every ones attention, Chris will hope they stay in line enough to avoid much trouble. Trouble aside, they will be giving all teams trouble here as they've in all interleagues so far, have given some of the toughest teams almost too much to handle.
