Welcome to Season 1!

Welcome to Global Interleague Trophy everyone! I've decided 2 blogs a week weren't enough, so without Chris' current knowledge of me wanting to do this, here I am! GIT promises to be a great interleague, while bringing many new characteristics to keep it very interesting. Chris has assembled a top-notch admin team with Joe [RiffRaff] in the background helping every step of the day, and presenting us with a great page, and a jaw-dropping banner! The admins in Pete [Freedom], Drew [Brit Pool], Jane [Magic Pool], Jeremy [Brit Pool, most known for Lucky Shots] & Paul [Extreme Cues], all have plenty of talent and experience and it has already shown. Chris & Joe wanted this Sunday interleague to differ from the rest, and it will. Rules that we can actually enjoy reading because they are sensible have been in place for a while and I encourage everyone to read them [It wont take all day like other interleagues, I've read them twice already!]. The largest aspect GIT is offering is one that is a big "hit or miss" with everyone. The illusive "Wild Card", where the home team can pick a game to be Last Pocket or Bank the 8/Q [Each 5v5 match has 1 LP & 1 Bt8/Q card that only the captain can use. You dont have to use them, or you can use both in the same game. Either way, atleast 3 games will be regular 8]. Great idea to shake things up and obviously being all cam will help that out. GIT has started off small, and I like why. With 8 leagues in, competition will be plenty with full rosters week in & week out, and I do foresee many "upsets" because with the leagues in and their resumes from past interleagues, show how capable they are of beating anyone, on any given day, making pre-season rankings, a crap shoot!

So here are my pre-season predictions, that are just pointless and for viewing pleasure. Pred's will be up in a few days!

#1 - Brit Pool
The only player both Tyler & Ben mentioned from BP, is Drew. While yes Drew is a top notch player when he wants to be, Drew doesn't need to be much, because of the core he has created through the years, and now with the 8bc merge, he has picked up a ton of depth. Trey & Justin will have fun, because they can.

#2 - Freedom
I hyped them in WPC, currently in ninth. Hyped them in IPA, still undefeated. Hyped them in UIC, without a win. Lets hype them again shall we? Pete already has Corey signed up for him and he'll definitely be one to look out for as the season 1 MVP and Pete I'm sure has a few more coming over from his IPA squad, so as long as they hit a consistent key early, Freedom will be one of the favourites for the title.

#3 - Extreme Pool Competitors
While everyone else has a massive bias view towards Jack, I'd like to hope I know the real Jack. A real down to earth guy, who has common sense but sadly a lack of patience, which has given everyone their views about Jack. With the way GIT is set up, I do truly believe all of you will see a different Jack, but the same EPC we see in IPA. Strong, deep line-up that will be capable of 5-0ing anyone, the only problem I see is consistency, and Jack is known for his off weeks. He'll be able to coast to the playoffs I believe, but from there its all on him.

#4 - Extreme Cues
Back into the interleague scene, Ben & Paul lead a revamped EC league with a lot of good talent coming in recently. EC will be one of the deepest teams along with BP, and it'll serve them very well in the long run.

#5 - Magic Pool
A league that slowly drifted away from the interleague scene but has been revamped with the return of Jane & Chris' leadership. The newer MP squad have faired well in interleagues thus far, being able to compete having most matches come down to a coin flip. They have a fair amount of talent, they just need to be able to stick with the better players more often then not to prove me wrong.

#6 - Money In the Bank
Rich branched off from TC during the summer and started a small, quiet league with a group of friends, and slowly it has turned into a quiet interleague force. While they're not exactly in the running for titles, no league really wants to play them because MIB has so much talent ready to break through, they will never be an easy opponent.

#7 - Straight Shots
I predicted them to make a mockery of UIC so no one can complain with this. Nigel is back at the helm after having others step up to be captain for a few teams recently, and will be mighty shocked with this prediction. SS have good players, but the only worry I have with them is whether or not those good players will show on a consistent basis.

#8 - Ultimate Outlaws
The same team I predicted to make the UIC playoffs, as well as challenge for a spot in IPA, sees themselves in last. Why? GIT will be that close. With all the controversy UO has quickly brought to every ones attention, Chris will hope they stay in line enough to avoid much trouble. Trouble aside, they will be giving all teams trouble here as they've in all interleagues so far, have given some of the toughest teams almost too much to handle.
